Still not sleeping but not 'cause of the dog...

Hubby is snoring again. I feel bad for him because it is obvious that he is not getting a good night sleep. He is constanly waking himself up but doesn't remember it come morning. I am ready to turn my sewing room into a spare bedroom.
Any one got any tips to get hubby to stop snoring?
I need my sleep.
Smiles!

Has he ever had a sleep study done? He may have sleep apnea. If so - there are things that can (and should) be done for it. If untreated it raises your BP and is bad for your heart.

Does he have sleep apnea?
I feel for you- that's so hard for both of you.
I'm sorry I have no constructive ideas for you.

Have you ever tried the breathe-right strips? I think they work for some. My husband is a snorer, too.

I feel for you. I'm having the same problem at my house. I've been sleeping in a different bed - I need my sleep too. (Although I've had a different 5 year old visitor with me the last two nights who also is snoring from a cold)

We tried those strips for years. It turns out, my husband DID have sleep apnea. The waking himself up and not getting good sleep is a HUGE red flag. His dad has it,too. We have a macine he uses now to sleep. I had to get used to THAT noise, but at least he is no longer in danger of dying because he does NOT start breathing again. Also, he is MUCH better rested. I hope I did not scare you, but my husband ignored my predictions that he had sleep apnea for 3 years before he went to the dr. and got a sleepstudy done. I would have to nudge him to get him to start breathing again or else listen to the loud snoring. I occaisionally slept in another room, even.

Jennifer...we are having the same trouble at the Knight household. We have tried the nose strips...they work some...but not enough. I start out in our room...and then have to go to our grandson/guest room...and I can still hear him! Bless his heart. I think Jeff's prob. is he/and dr. says he's gained 10 extra lbs...and the fact that he is exhausted...but I got tired of staying awake...and I feel bad to keep poking him and shaking the bed...so I vacate my side when it gets too much.
:) He does remember waking himself up snoring though. Maybe it won't last long :)

Try pinching his nostrils together! :)
